We spent the day at the pool today!! It was so hot and humid, we could hardly do anything else. Kiersten had a tee ball game this morning and by the time the first inning was over, the kids were worn out and ready to go home. Kiersten played well and is picking up the game surprisingly fast. She can hit the pitched ball every other time at bat and "gets" the idea of fielding. Mostly they wander around the field and ask who's winning alot - fun times.
After the game we took the fam to the pool and relaxed. We have had extremely warm weather this week and the pool water felt good. I had the opportunity to go to Phoenix this week, which by the way in June is much like I imagine Hades to be, and spent an hour by the pool one day. The water was so warm, it was hardly refreshing. I felt like I had become a southerner, because when I landed in Charlotte, I was actually glad it was humid. I walked to my car, enjoying eighty degree weather and high humidity in comparison to one hundreds in the desert.
We're going to visit the coast this week and spend some time with Tracy and Jared and their family. The kids cannot wait, all we hear is the countdown to when we leave. It will be nice to get away for a few days and visit the beach.
No grand epiphanies this week, maybe next. If so, I'll send them your way.

Summer 2007
It is June 19, 2007 ~ where has the year gone?? We moved to Charlotte NC a year and 2 weeks ago. It has been a great move for our family and the kids are very happy.
Last week was our first week of summer. Austin, Kiersten, and Brandon started swimming lessons. Austin also did Basketball Camp. This week Austin is attending Cub Scout Day Camp. He is having a blast. Matt is scheduled to speak at Youth Conference at USC in Columbia on Friday.
I will attach a few of our favorite events from the past few months.
You know we are in NASCAR Country now and we went to Pole Night the week of the Coca Cola 600. We learned so much about Nascar and the kids thought it was great. Kiersten won the money pool worth $75.00. Matt's co-workers
all put in money and draw names. The winning car wins the money! What a lucky girl!
I will post some more soon!

Still Trying...

I have not had time to sit down and figure this out until today. Hopefully I can get something posted! This is our Easter 2007 picture. I think this will be a great way for us to keep our friends and family updated with our lives!
Stay tuned!
