Bronson and McKenzee's Wedding August 30, 2011

Beautiful Bride, Beautiful Temple, Beautiful Couple and a Beautiful Fun Family Day!!

Reagan and I flew out to see my cousin getting married to Bronson Taylor in the Draper Temple.  McKenzee stayed with me last summer for about 5 weeks and we all fell in love with her.  We are so happy she found Bronson and they are ready to start their life together, even if it meant she didn't come stay with us again! :)

The reception was at my Aunt Jayne's house and it was amazing!

Reagan loved all of the attention.  She had so many people watching out for her.  It was a 14 hour day from start to finish and she was a trooper!  

Construction of the new MUD ROOM.

We have a first floor bedroom that we no longer use as a bedroom, so decided to turn it into a mudroom.  We started by tearing out the carpet, cutting a new door and laying tile.

This was the first time I framed a door and put in finish work.  It was a good experience and I learned alot about what it takes to complete a project on time and under budget.  I had a full week and took every minute and more to get all the tile down, door in place and finish work in place.

We still have some portion left, lockers to be built, and laundry table to be put in and touch up paint everywhere.  All in all, it turned out pretty well and I enjoyed every minute, except maybe the grouting, which pretty much stunk!

Kiersten's 10th Birthday

We threw and unbirthday party for Kiersten which turned into a full blow birthday party.  We were slow planning a party for Kiersten, so we decided to have her friends over for pizza and cake, but not to call in an official birthday party.  Her friends are great and knew it was her birthday and showed up with gifts great attitudes to help celebrate.

A dozen pre-teen girls is quite an experience.  I was at football practice for half of the party and returned in time for the screaming and singing.

Back To School August 23, 2011

Well, another year has come around and back to school.  Austin shows his best Kentucky look, including no shoes!  This is his favorite look and wears shorts and t-shirt everyday.  He'd wear the exact same ones everyday if we let him...

Kiersten is the apple of my eye, she has such good taste in clothes and roots for the right team.  Whereas the other rat in this picture is wearing a contraband shirt.   Actually, they are both seeking to get ahead with their teachers, Brandon's teacher is from NC and Kiersten's teacher is a huge (is there another kind?) Steelers fan. Smart kids!

Fifth and first grade - hard to believe.  We are close enough that they can walk or ride their bikes to school, which they both enjoy.

Reagan started pre-school this year and wanted to feel like the big kids by getting ready for school.

Brandon with his best bud, Davis.  They are in the same class and spend tons of time together.  They look out for each other and have a great time together.
