Day 5 - Hollywood Studios attempt 2, much more successful!

Day 5 - the older kids were determined to ride the big rides at Hollywood Studios.  We headed out early, IN THE RAIN, and quickly got passes to all the good rides.  Tower of Terror, Toy Story Mania, Rock n Roll Roller Coaster...Success!  We actually got to ride the good rides multiple times.  Rain at Disney does mean shorter lines but man I was tired of being wet!!

It pretty much rained off and on all day.  We would go from a downpour to a sprinkle to a downpour.  Kiersten was successful at riding Rock n Roll Roller Coaster which is a crazy fast ride and LOVED it!!

Toy Story Mania was a great ride.  It is fairly new and all 14 of us LOVED this ride.

Just as a side note that I don't want to forget.  We had 12 tickets in our group which meant we had lots of flexibility with fast passes.  We would always get fast passes as soon as possible and almost everyday we would end up with some that we didn't use.  The kids starting giving them to people as we were leaving the park.  It was fun to see the excitement on the faces of people just getting to the park and realizing they could ride the good rides without waiting in line.  I loved watching the kids try to figure out who to give them to.  Cute.

Hollywood Studios or at least attempted to. DAY 4

A later start on Day 4.  The kids were tired.  We headed to the park about 10am.  We saw the American Idol Experience and some of the other shows but the kids quickly realized that waiting in line was not fun and we didn't get to the park in time to get fast passes for the roller coasters.  We made the best of it and enjoyed the shows.

The abrupt ending to this day was the Lights, Camera, Actions Stunt show.  We heard there was severe weather in the area but it wasn't raining.  We sat in the bleachers of the movie set to watch the stunt show and then the skies started getting darker.  The MC told us they were watching the weather and we would start the show and then end the show if necessary.  We saw about 10 mins of the show and then the wind started swirling, the rain starting coming down and it was a little scary.  Having 10 kids in a movie set with nothing but metal and lots of flying objects was frightening.  The thunder and lightning were so loud!  I am not sure Kiersten will ever be the same.  It only lasted about 10 mins but there were broken tree limbs, garbage everywhere and lots of wet wet people.

The kids were done after this experience.  We headed back to the house and enjoyed the afternoon.

Disney Day 3(pm) - Magic Kingdom

Since we started so early and we wanted to stay for the late night activities, we took a swim/nap break and went back to the house and swam while the 2 girls slept.  We headed back about dinner time and ventured out for more and more and more.  It was really crowded but we got to do the Jungle ride and see the electric parade.  We also got to see the fireworks over the castle.

the kids passed out on the way back to the house.  fun day!!

Disney Day 3 - Magic Kingdom (am)

We got up early and headed out to Magic Kingdom for day 3.  The kids complained at first but we rode so many rides in the first 2 hours that they realized that was the best plan!

Riding the ferry over to the entrance.

An early morning for our little ones but they were troopers!

I think this is where Kiersten decided to be a BIG kid...she rode space mountain and loved it!!

One of my favorite pictures of Reagan.

Reagan was by her dad's side most of the time.  She was so happy to have him close to her and doing what ever she asked!  It was cute!

Look at Matt's goofy face...Austin is too cool to smile with his mom but not MATT!!

Disney Day 2 - Epcot (in the Rain) and Swimming (in the Rain)

To sum up day 2 in one word...WET!  We still managed to ride all of the big rides and see a few other things but by mid-day we were soaked!

So back to the house for a little swimming in the rain...the kids didn't mind a bit!
