After a successful 20 hour trip with 10 kids and 4 adults, we made our way to Orlando. First stop was Animal Kingdom. On our only other trip to Disney, this was our favorite park. We are at a different stage in our life than we were 7 years ago but it still didn't disappoint! It was one of the only HOT days at Disney and it was a shock to our systems.
I will preface all of these posts with the fact that it was tournament time and Kentucky was playing well!! You will notice LOTS of KY gear in the upcoming posts. When we left for Disney, UNC, BYU and KY were all still in the tournament. It was hard to decide what shirts to pack. We listened to the KY/Ohio St game in the car on the drive down. CLOSE GAME...cheering at a gas station in Richmond KY at midnight that the Wildcats pulled it out!!
| Conner (14), Emily (12), Austin (11), Maggie (10), Kiersten (9) Kate (7), Brandon (6), Davis (6), Reagan (2) and Clare (2) |
| Kiersten was very nervous for the "roller coasters". Day 1 she was still with the younger group. |
Reagan did not want ANYTHING to do with the oversized "characters". I don't blame her, some of them are scary. We kept trying and she would just run!
Enjoying her frozen lemonade in her stroller and watching everything around her!
Lori and I resorted to getting our own autographs!
Lion King show...still one of my favorites!
We sacrificed a little Disney to make it home for the KY/UNC game. All the kids went out to swim and the adults and boys watch and yelled. I finally had to go in the room by myself...it as too stressful!!
KENTUCKY WINS!!
