Orchestra Concert for Austin

Austin decided to play the Cello this year in Orchestra. They practice one day a week before school and then have a small group lesson during school. He seems to enjoy it and I think any music lessons they get are wonderful. This is the first concert of the year. I think it is fabulous to have them get dressed in appropriate attire and learn the etiquette of a performance. He was nervous but it all went well.

We also learned that night that his orchestra teacher was just named Music Teacher of the Year for the State of Illinois. I thought that was wonderful and he is lucky to have such a wonderful teacher.
