Franklin Middle School Basketball 2011-2012

Austin made the7th grade basketball team this year.  It was the first time to try out for a team with peers and have people get cut.  It was scary but overall a good experience.  It is a great group of kids that made the team.  The coach is new and super with the kids.  He taught them a lot about respect and hard work.  They had practice at 6:30am about 3 days a week and after school the other days.  The boys had to dress up on game day and keep good grades and be respectful towards adults.  I have never been called Mrs. Smith so many times in my life(not sure how I feel about that :).

Their record was not all that good, in fact they lost quite a few by less than 3.  The boys worked hard and had fun! Way to go BULLDOGS!
