Christmas Eve 2008

The magic of Christmas begins to come alive for the Smith kids on Christmas eve. No matter what we do that day or evening, we always get a visit from one of Santa's helpers, name the "pajama dude" this year, bringing the kids new pjs. They can't even wait to get into the family room before ripping open the packages to see what new designs they get.

Austin and Brandon both got football pants and matching shirts, while the girls have winter pjs. They were so wound up, it was a challenge to get them off to bed so Santa could visit.

We are so concerned that our kids struggle to have a good time. Kiersten and Reagan are just plain miserable, can't you tell?

Same with the boys... They actually even look like each other in this picture. They certainly act like each other, both roughnecks and rambunctious. We really are starting to have more and more fun with each other. The kids have picked up Uno, are starting to get dry humor and have learned to laugh at themselves. Another successful Christmas eve with the magic of Christmas still intact (maybe our last year with all four eager for Santa Claus)!
