1st day at the Beach

We made it to NC last night and had uneventful travels (thank goodness!) We finally got the very excited kids to bed around midnight and they were up again at 6:00 (very sleepy kids tonight). Kiersten, Austin and Matt all had eye appointments with Dr. Uncle Jared this morning. Austin is testing out contacts, got new glasses, Kiersten got her first pair of glasses and Matt got new contacts! Success!

Then - Off to the beach. It was a beautiful day, especially for our 1st day. It was a little overcast and low humidity. The temperature was about 85, Warm, gorgeous! When we left Chicago yesterday it was 60, cloudy and raining at 2:00pm.

I didn't take too many pictures but the kids had a great time. Austin didn't come out of the waves at all and Reagan thought it was a great playground. She was so cute and happy. Everyone got a little color but not too much. Shrimp (hamburgers and hot dogs) on the BBQ for dinner, walk to the dock and a talent show by the cousins! So much fun...more days to come.
