It is difficult to have my mom and dad in town and not try to accomplish some project that we've had on our list. This is one project we have been waiting to do since the day we moved in.
We had just had the house painted and the running joke as we put up the tile was that our painters would be mad that we made them paint under the cabinets, just to then cover it up with tile!
We spent nearly a full week just looking for tile. Who knew there were so many types and colors, and that we could like so many of them. We looked at copper, glass, ceramic, the list goes on. We finally decided on this style of slate with some inlaid copper tiles. It was a fun project.
We are really happy with the finished product. A couple days shopping, labor and here you have it. Thanks mom and dad - our projects always go well with you around.
