Road trip to and from FL

Spring Break is awesome and in particular, we like that March Madness is in full swing.  However, any trips tend to get in the way.  So this year, we decided it would be a good idea to drive for 20 hours during the important rounds of the tournament.  We had XM, local AM stations, the ipad, our phones, and any other device that could possibly show a picture or provide the play by play for the Wildcats, Tarheels or Cougars.  As you can see, it clearly did not keep Brandon awake!

We timed our departure from Florida to coincide with the Kentucky game on Saturday night.  We called Deb and Rich and told them we were going to be in Lexington and Deb put together a great party for us.  A cupcake cake, great appetizers, and of course, the game.  We were all so excited for the game, we went out and spent a fortune on new Kentucky gear for everyone and settled in for the game.
We start young to reduce the chance of the kids finding another team they might like.  The kids could not believe that entire stores were dedicated to nothing but UK gear.  Normally when we see  someone in UK gear, it is unusual and we say hi to them, but of course in Lexington, everyone was wearing blue, the kids were amazed.

It was a great night right up until the game started.  UK was flat and never could quite keep up with UConn.  The party was fun, but we were bummed out that UK's run ended.  We had a great time with Deb and Rich and catching up with them.
