Go Big Blue! October 4, 2007

#8 University of Kentucky VS #11 University of South Carolina

The Wildcats played in Columbia and they were off to a 5-0 start...we couldn't pass up the opportunity to go see them play. I got a babysitter, on a school night and Matt took the red-eye in from Reno that morngin and we headed off to the game. Let me set the stage...

1 - It was raining! We haven't had rain in a month and we are on stage 3 water restrictions with no end in sight. However, on this night, right up until game time - it decided to rain! Luckily it didn't rain during the game.

2- We were going to South Carolina...who refers to themselves as USC (to me that is Southern Cal), Carolina (to most of the world is the Tarheels of NORTH Carolina), the mascot is the Gamecocks (enough said) and they have a quarterback with the last name Smelly and a kicker with the last name of Soccup (pronounced Suckup). All of this was quite funny to me!

3- We lost the game - although it was fun to go to a football game in the south. Very exciting and full of tradition. I can only imagine going to a Florida, LSU or Tennessee game. Maybe one day!

My pictures are not that great, just proof that we were there. Notice the rained on hair?

We wish them luck with LSU (#1), Florida and Mississippi St in the upcoming weeks. We are fortunate to play them all at home - Go Cats!
