I heard about a basketball camp for Diabetic kids and I signed Austin up for the week long camp. He was not excited about attending. He has always wanted to be the different kid at a regular camp but I heard this was an awesome camp so I encouraged him to go at least the first day.
The camp was held at the Chicago Bulls/White Sox Training Academy. It was as awesome as it sounds! They had a staff from the Academy running the basketball camp and an entire staff of medical volunteers.
He ended up really enjoying the entire week.
