5th Grade Graduation

5th Grade Graduation for Kiersten

Kiersten loves 5th grade.  She has lots of friends and worked hard.  The very last assembly, on the last day of school, the teachers surprise the kids and present a girl and a boy with the Student of Excellence Award.  It is a surprise and no one knows ahead of time who will be presented the award. 

We were shocked when Kiersten was presented the award.  Mr. Downs told her she was given the award for never giving up and always trying her best.  She silently leads and is a peacemaker. He referred to the track meet - when she fell toward the end of the race but got back up and finished the race.  

We are very proud of her for such an accomplishment!
