We love having guests in town and it always gives us a good reason to go to the city. What a great view as we are heading into Chicago. The sears tower is so big, and makes the Chicago skyline.
We bought a pass to the NC aquariums this year, and had reciprocity for the aquarium in Chicago. It is great to have a pass, so you can head down and spend a few hours and still feel like you had a good value.
Pretty happy kids! I always wonder if our kids will look back in twenty years and think we were nuts for always dragging them out and about, or will have good memories and thank us for doing so much as a family. The kids are at fun ages where we don't have to take a stroller, but they are still young enough to do "little" kid things and have fun.
The other side of the skyline looking over lake Michigan.
MMMM, a Chicago dog. I'm not sure if it is the celery salt, peppers, relish or what that makes this such a tasty hotdog? For me, it is the absolute refusal of any purveyor of a Chicago dog to use ketchup.
Soldier field was rebuilt a few years ago and kept some of the old stadium and surrounded it with a new stadium. Looks like a flying saucer came and swallowed the old stadium.
Yes, a great day with Grandpa Dean enjoying the city. He was a great sport to help us chase the kids and take in the sights.
