Kiersten at Cross Country at Thompson

Brandon and Reagan are the ultimate spectators.  We drag them to football, basketball, track and now we can include cross country in that list.  Good sports all around.
Kiersten was a hesitant participant.  She kept telling us that she did not want to run, but we forced her to try cross country and she had a good time and was actually a pretty good runner.  We actually saw some muscle development in her body and legs through the season!

Alot of the team was the social part and Kiersten and her buddies laughing and talking and a little running.

I was really happy to see her compete.  She has played basketball and volleyball, but this is the first time she has had to compete one against many.  She ran in huge meets and generally was in the top half of the participants.  It will be interesting to see how she does next year.  Her long legs and stride will give her a great advantage.  Like a gazelle running across the plain, once she gets a little more muscle and some endurance, she'll be a real competitor, or not, but she'll still have fun I'm sure.

The difference in her running from the first of the year to the end was so much different.  She was miserable at the start of the year and by the end, even enjoyed her meets.
