MSI with Grandma and Grandpa

We took an afternoon and went to the Museum of Science and Industry. This is one of the funnest museums around. It is like a giant children's museum with lots of hands on stuff to do. One of the new exhibits is weather and how it shapes our world. Lots on lightning, waves, wind, etc. It was fun to see and explore how weather works.

We also toured through a German U-boat that was captured during WWII. The history and story around the boat is really interesting. We also went through the submarine and were able to see how the sailors lived. I can't believe what a small space they lived in. We also saw how effective the Germans were in the water, sinking over 1,000 merchant ships in the Atlantic ocean. The capture of this boat provided significant intelligence. Anyway, it was awesome.

The kids also spend alot of time in the children's area playing in the water and with the plastic balls. We spent four or five hours at the museum and had a great day.
