White Christmas - Christmas Break 2010

We were looking for a reason to get away for the day and decided to take in a show and some shopping in the city.  We got tickets to White Christmas, by Irving Berlin.  It was a fun show and staying in the city is really a good time.  We met a bunch of friends, the Whites, Ross' and Fowles for dinner and a show.

At the end of the show, the actors invite the audience to sing I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas with them, and fake snow begins to fall in the theatre.  It was kinda  hokey, but fun.  Then we walked outside and huge snowflakes were covering the city.  It was a really pretty scene, something right out of a movie.

The better looking half of the theatre patrons!

We keep buying black snow clothes so we can pass them down as the kids get older, but Reagan is benefiting from being the last kid and gets whatever color she wants because she has not little brother that would hate pink (or worse, love pink).

We got a few inches in the city, and the kids got about six or seven.  Or good friends the Bywaters stayed with the kids overnight and then had the joy of having to dress the kids in their winter clothes to go out and play.  I think the kids had as much fun having us gone as we had being gone.

Our motley crew, Austin 11 3/4, Kiersten 9, Brandon 6 and Reagan  2 3/4.
